Dance

A Level Dance will enable you to think critically about Dance as an art form, to develop your knowledge of the study of Dance in higher education, experience performance and choreography through practice and prepare you to pursue further training in dance in a university or vocational context.

Content

  • Performing – solo and group
  • Choreography – group dance
  • Critical appreciation of Rooster by Christopher Bruce, Rambert Dance Company, Singing in the Rain by Gene Kelly and American Jazz Dance.

 

Minimum Entry Requirements

GCSE Grade 6 Dance (or evidence of extensive dance training in the private sector) plus GCSE Grade 5 in English Language or English Literature.

Opportunities
