The Further Mathematics Linear A Level aims to provide a deeper insight into the vast and mesmerising world of mathematics. The course goes far beyond the need to know day to day basics. It is designed for those who have a real interest and excitement in mathematics and goes some way to introduce you to branches of mathematics that few ever witness let alone master. This said, interest and self-motivation remain the most necessary skills to possess in order to succeed here. Ability alone is not what we are looking for. This one year course follows the fast track one year Mathematics A Level course and offers suitable candidates the opportunity to arm themselves with two of the most prestigious A Levels on offer.
Further Mathematics is where much of the rigorous Mathematics is fully appreciated. Minimum Entry Requirements
GCSE Mathematics Grade 8. Further Mathematics A Level is a one year course in Year 13, taken by students who have already achieved the full Mathematics A Level in Year 12. This course must be taken in conjunction with A Level Mathematics.
