A warm welcome from the Sixth Form Leaders

We are a thriving Sixth Form on a most spectacular site overlooking Christchurch Harbour and Hengistbury Head. For over 60 years we have been welcoming students to come and be a member of our school community. Being a faith school makes us different and special and we let our warmth and ethos drive all of our dealings with our students and staff, and those who come here feel a part of that. Our students leave us as mature and well-rounded human beings with a strong sense of commitment to others and a realistic and determined ambition to be the best they can be. Come and visit us for a morning, and experience learning with our students and see for yourself.

We have evolved a particularly effective tutoring system which is tailored to everyone’s different needs and ambitions. Whether you intend to apply to Oxbridge, progress into an exciting career such as medicine, or to go directly into a job after Sixth Form, we have a special pathway for you with tutors who can advise you every step of the way. Our links with universities, including the Russell Group mean we are always up to date with new developments as they are evolving in a time of constant change.

Our size means we can offer a wide range of courses and combinations. St Peter’s Sixth Form students are highly successful with their applications for university and jobs, and no-one leaves us without intensive careers help through our pathways.

As well as your lessons you will be offered the chance to take part in exciting enrichment activities including big musicals, Rock Challenge, Senior Sports Leaders awards, mentoring, the Extended Project and the Bar Mock competition if you are minded to apply for a career in the Law. There really is something for everyone!

Our Sixth Form has various links across the world, and a past teacher, who went on to work with poorest of the poor in Southern India is the focus of much of our fundraising efforts. Apart from links with schools across Europe we are now developing further strong links with a school in the townships of South Africa.

Becoming part of our learning community will give you a different perspective on life and a chance to make new friends while we support you in making progress towards your career goals. We look forward to welcoming you.
